Arriving at our hotel in Poiana Negrii, Romania
About
If anyone was wondering what I was doing in Romania, I was attempting the Via Transilvanica hiking route with my buddy Radu. We set off from Putna in the far north (near Ukraine) and spent the next eight days walking south through Bucovina.
Thanks to the Via Transilvanica Facebook Page, we hunted down two female hikers in Vatra Dornei who agreed to accompany us on day six on our way to Poiana Negrii. Kudos to the gorgeous, kind and funny Dora and Alina. It was great to hike with you, even if you made us do Yoga and listen to the Gypsy King Adrian Copilul Minune!
After a grueling 10 hours we arrived tired and de-hydrated in the small town of Poiana Negrii. We had originally planned to stay at Casa Edi but when we got there, Edi was no where to be found. We helped ourselves to some cool cans of Pepsi from his Fridge before we ended up walking another 2km back to Pensiunea Agroturistica Poiana.
After five days in only each others company it was great that I and Radu could sit down to dinner with some new faces. The lemonade they served us was f**king amazing and that night I had an amazing sleep!
