Bishops' House, Sheffield
About
I was out walking today with my sister and stumbled across Bishops' House located at the top of Meersbrook park. It is a lovely half timbered house and one of the best surviving examples of this type of house in Sheffield. It was build around the end of the fifteenth century and has been looked after quite well it seems ever since. It has been a museum since the late 70's and is now a popular venue for community groups, art events and even weddings. The free museum is well worth a visit and you can even dress your self up in some periodic clothing inside. I only found dresses though my size so opted for a feathered cap and a cape instead.
