Royal Botanic Gardens view, Sydney
About
The Royal Botanic Gardens in Sydney is a great place to spend a lazy summer afternoon. I really like the contrast in this shot between the ground level gardens and high rise buildings in the background. What I loved about being though was the large fruit bats that are always above you in the trees. The bats also known as Flying Foxes are clear to see even during daylight. I returned to the Royal Botanic Gardens on New Years Eve 2011 to catch a glimpse of the the annual fireworks show. After waiting all day, a glimpse is exactly what I got. Trust me, save the energy and watch it on TV or try and get out onto a yatch in the harbour.
