Crookes Cemetery Chapel, Sheffield
About
Located between Crosspool and Crookes (where I live) is this beautiful cemetery complete with chapel. The cemetery was opened in 1908 and has seen nearly 30,000 burials since. It became a grade 2 listed building in 1995. This photo was taken from standing in the allotments that border the cemetery. I was out walking with my sister and her mates around the Bole Hill area as it was a nice Saturday with no sign of immediate rain. Passing through the allotments was a good move as a kind gentlemen gave us a free cabbage!
