Cycling down Herrenhäuser alley, Hannover
About
Visiting cities is great but it's also nice to see a contrast in landscape and escape the busy urbanised streets. Yesterday I rented a bike in Hannover and headed towards Herrenhäuser Garden, a wonderful Georgian garden just north of the city centre. The photo above is of the alley en route to the garden. There are several like it and they are just as vast. I have googled and it looks great in autumn and winter too!
There is also a museum inside the main building and for 8 euros it is worth 30 minutes of your time.
The gardens are famous because of a great fountain which in good weather conditions (no wind) can shoot water up to 80 metres high!
