Descending Cerro San Cristóbal, Santiago
About
A great view of Santiago can be achieved if you wander up Cerro San Cristóbal. On a clear day you can see beyond the highrise urban city landscape some snow topped mountains of the Andes. It's a great contrast and is the most popular image of Santiago that Chile uses to lure in the tourists. Today however there was a low mist and together with the usual city smog you could only see a few blocks. We took the Funicular (a small train) on the way up but opted for a muddy cycle track for our descent.
