Flinders Street Station, Melbourne, Australia
About
Flinders Street station is to Melbourne what Harbour Bridge and the Opera House is to Sydney. Its an iconic landmark used to in imagery to represent Melbourne all over the world. Its a wonderful building and is an extremely busy station with thousands of commuters passing through it every day. It is also the oldest train station in Australia. I caught the train from here one day to Prahran to go to a job interview. The design of Flinders Street station was also used as the design inspiration for the Luz Station in Sao Paulo, Brazil. I am going there soon actually so will try get a photo to compare!
