Iguaçu Falls, Foz do Iguaçu, Paraná, Brazil
About
These waterfalls are known by everyone as the world's greatest waterfalls. The falls are on the Iguazu river on the border between Argentina and Brazil. This photo was taken from the Brazilian side hence the spelling in the title. I arrived in Brazil yesterday from Peru so this morning I ventured down to take a look and can confirm they are very impressive. There are over 270 different falls to see and a even a walkway at the bottom of the Devil's Throat section where you can get really close and get soaking wet from the spray. I think thats the most photographed section and the one Harrison Ford went down in the last Indiana Jones movie. Unfortunately my phone is not waterproof so I didn't fully capture the moment. I did however take lots of snaps like this one at other areas of the falls from various view points along the way.
