Solomon's Temple, Buxton
About
Apparently, this Victorian fortified hill marker located in the hustling Spa town of Buxton in Derbyshire is also known as Grinlow Tower. I hadn't been on a walk up to this little attraction for many years. I think maybe I was 15 or something but it could have been further back. The tower is only 20 feet high and has some nice metal spiral steps inside you can walk up. It was quite windy upon the hill that day and on the top of the tower there was some strong wind. I don't think my friend James and Andy had visited the tower before last Monday so it was good to share a moment up there with them. Being Easter Monday there was a fair few other walkers and tourists around in Buxton. The weather during the afternoon was great too. It only rained later on when we headed back to Sheffield.
