Steps to Batu Caves, Kuala Lumpur
About
I forgot how many steps there were in total to get to the Batu Caves but it was pretty close to 300 I think. The monsoon rains which started on cue with me getting of the bus didn't make for a fast climb either. I was well rewarded with fascinating caves at the top though and Buddhist temples. While up there I went on the guided walk around the Bat caves too and was pretty much brainwashed into believing that not only are bats the greatest creatures to ever live but also the saviour of the planet. A girl at my hostel saw a snake the previous day but all I saw was bats, cockroaches and spiders.
