Swimming in River Derwent, Chatsworth Park
About
So we wanted to go swimming today and since it was the hottest day of the year it had to be somewhere outdoors. Thank god for the lovely River Derwent at Chatsworth park. It's 30 minutes from Sheffield and has £2 all day parking on Sundays. There was probably about 500 people there partying, drinking, swimming and some pretty impressive barbeques too. We went in the water twice and although it was cold we soon warmed up. The only downside was the sheep and cows who had left a little present in almost every square foot of the river banks.
