Untitled (1982) by Keith Haring - Museum Folkwang, Essen
About
Yesterday was the opening of the long awaited Keith Haring exhibition at the Museum Folkwang in Essen. Undeterred by a random but biblical summer rain storm, I and a friend managed to make it for the 7pm slot. The rain stopped immediately once we got inside...of course!
I have been a long time fan of Basquiat but hadn't really read a lot about the work and life of Keith Haring. Compared to Basquiat, Haring favoured more simple works and I was amazed by how many had no title.
It is well worth a visit and a bargain for 10 euros.
